I currently use the Garret AT Pro and I am starting to hunt salt water beaches in Florida. I am having a real hard time regulating the AT Pro. How does the E-800 compare in wet and dry sand and in the salt water? Also, how do the two machines compare for coins, rings, etc. on lawns? Thanks.

The AT Pro is a great detector, but does struggle in saltwater. The 800 will definitely perform better in that environment. The 800 will probably also allow you to get more depth for you other hunting needs.
