I'm guessing "yes" but to confirm: Will the 24" fiberglass lower (replacement) shaft, SKU 3011-0175, $42, be a natural fit for a Minelab Excaliber 1000?I notice it is listed as being 24" x 1" x 1". The actual outer diameter of the current shaft is .740", give or take a fraction. This concerns me - 1 inch o.d. would never fit the upper shaft.Let me know.....thanks. tj View answer

Hi I really liked the simplex machine and headphones in term of sound convenience and Bluetooth capability , I bought a second one fir my son but the headphones are not very sturdy , unfortunately I fell while hiking the ear cup popped out and must have pulled out a wire , I was told accidents not under warranty so I opened it saw the loose wire fixed it but now still won’t charge consistently I think the wire is so thin that it does not have a good connection. Tried twice but no luck.Are they still reparable and/ or is it worth the cost $120 to buy a new pair versus cost to fix, regardless I will order the dongle headphone connector so I have an option to use wired as back up in cases like this…Thanks for time and any advice…. I just bought gray ghost amphibian II headphones for my equinox 800. There are no amphibian II markings. There is not an sku. Why not?? I would like to know what they are before I go into the water. The metal detector store where I bought them is closed for the holiday. I had planned on using them during Labor Day. I'll wait for your reply before I use them. View answer

What detector should I buy with easy ground balance that will not go off constantly in iron ore. I want to gold hunt. I need something that will find nuggets as well as small pieces. My great grandfather was a blacksmith and melted down and refined gold for an Indian. No one could ever find his working area. They tried following him but he always gave them the slip. The area has lots of iron ore. What detector do you suggest? I’m not by far a professional. I do live one block from the ocean. The other hunting is in the Appalachian mountains where I grew up.
