I bought the Nokta-Makro Racer2 from KellyCo last year and love it (simple). I live in an area of iron infested rocks in upstate NY and am a keen relic hunter. (Not very successful)! Would love to find anything from the American Revolution in the woods/water. Would the AT Max perform better than the Racer2 in this respect? Many thanks. View answer

Curious with the Garrett AT Max, which I just purchased and received, why you emphasize it's a great beach detector for "dry sand" and not for both wet and dry sand? Seeing how it's such an adaptable, versitile, all-terrain machine, which you can easily adjust ground balance/settings for salt water and salt water sand etc., why isn't it advertised as all inclusive to any environmental conditions (like wet sand)?
