I have retired near the water in Florida. I used to live in upstate New York where pre-Revolutionary finds were quite common. I had two good beepers which I gave to my children as my health failed. I can't see spending a lot of cash to purchase a detector which will see little use, yet I do not want to buy a "starter" machine. Are these open box Texas Titan 9000 a machine which will satisfy an old "pro"? If not, can I pick your brain for an alternative purchase? Thank You! can this be used as well on any type of lands, soil, inside caves or tunnels with the same result? won't there be any major changes in detection result when using either in water, beach, mineralized soil, caves and tunnels? does a user need to adjust something or calibrate something on this detector before it can be used or this is just plug and play (ready to go)? I'm new to metal detectors, and am getting ready to purchase one. Is the Nokta Makro Pulsedive Scuba Detector a stand-alone detector, or is this an accessory to the main metal detector? I'm basing my purchase decision on something I can dive with (beyond 10 foot depths), and the applicable diving detectors are very costly, so i'm wondering if I can purchase this unit for deeper dives, and then get just a regular, mid-cost range metal detector that is good for up to 10 feet to use when not diving.Hope this question makes sense...Thank you,Cliff View answer

I have never used the wireless technology so I have this question: I also have the Pro Pointer AT with Z-LYNK, after I pair the APEX to the headphones and then pair the Pro Pointer, can I power on the Pin Pointer while detecting and the APEX is on nearby or do you have to power off the APEX when you power on the Pin Pointer when detecting???
